Clementines are citrus. The are in the mandarin family and not to be confused with satsuma. They are not tangerines, although they are sometimes referred to as Algerian Tangerines. Clementines

Thank you for looking this up! I guess that brunch was blog worthy, since I got a coffee related post out of it, too.
Also, this explains why I have seen different brands of clementines at the market, suggesting that they themselves are not the brand-name.
